Sorry this isn't pre '84, and I'll almost never recommend anything after '86, but I have to say the best Althea ever is 10/28/91.

If you must have pre '84, 4/18/82 is great, and so is 8/3/82.

The two best Althea's that I've heard are from 3/28/81 and 7/1/80. There's a killer video from 3/28 that's out there. If you're a guitar player, as I am, you'll be mesmerized by watching Jerry through this whole show but especially the ending solo on Althea. I didn't think there was a version that was even close until I heard the 7/1/80 version.
